For the World of Warcraft - inclined

A brief review of my characters and contemplations. Non-WoW people go about your business.

Been playing a full year now. Still feel like a complete n00b. Started on Uldaman server because I didn't know better, but the vast majority of my play has been on Lothar (regular PvE) thanks to the presence of the positively brilliant Alliance (& Horde) Microbrewers Guild.

Lothar crew:
Rakshaas - Lvl 70 Belf hunter
Brandybeard - Lvl 62 Dwarf hunter
Coquina - Lvl 42 Human rogue (actually my first character there)
Purrkinje - Lvl 31 Gnome warlock
Vadasz - Lvl 30 Draenai hunter

Recently I decided my imagination could use more of a workout and I started rolling on Moon Guard, a roleplaying server. Starting out from scratch again is kind of painful. Finding a good guild that actually *wants* to stay in character and isn't full of adolescent boys looking for a virtual girlfriend is just as painful as I was anticipating. Right now I'm in interim guilds on both sides, but I'd like to find a group that likes to, well, roleplay. Cuz when that does happen, I think I like it. :)

Moon Guard crew:
Caipora - Lvl 18 Troll hunter
Binesikaa - Lvl 10 Tauren druid
Rakshasa - Lvl 8 Belf warlock (what can I say? I like the name)
Granuaile - Lvl 11 Nelf rogue

I have backstory for the troll & nelf; not sure about the belf. Seriously not liking the druid gig yet - I'm used to killing things fast. *whine* But I just got bear form so maybe I'll finally get to kick some butt instead of vice versa.

I played a Druid - I can't remember the type though.. she was blue and had really pointy ears. I think she was probably an elf, but it was last summer and it's a memory long since past.

We tried it out for a couple of months, I liked EQ2 better and Ras just followed me because I was the only reason he started playing to begin with *g*

Fast Killing - yeah, love it. I am used to a 70 warlock with over 1000 + spell dmg self-buffed... yeah, killing things fast is fun. Though, I like killing a lot of things, all at once too. can be just as satisfying, and more impressive to on-lookers.

I have tried the healing gig and just don't like having to rely on someone else to keep them off me (KEEP THEM OFF ME!!!)

Besides, I just loving releasing a doomguard in the middle of Goldshire and letting him have some fun, or getting semi-noobs killed in Raven Hill by casting Detect Invisibility and watching them attack the ghosts in the buildings that are 25+ levels above them... Ahh. Warlock should be it's own faction.

Yup, only night elves and Tauren can be druids.

I've heard good things about EQ2, but at this point I'm just too invested in WoW to go elsewhere. grindar used to play with me, but he got bored after playing it for over a year back when it first came out - back when I was still swearing I'd never play an MMORPG. Ha!

Fast killing + pets = my idea of a good time. Love the hunter (I am NOT a huntard, I swear) and learning to love the 'lock.

I don't like healing either. I've tried a priest a couple times and it just doesn't do anything for me.

I think people should wreak more havoc in the towns - makes things interesting. :)

yeah, alliance. I have chars ranging from 15-70 there and in between. I am keeping some at their current levels to help others in the guilds I am in progress... Besides, hitting 11 on a rogue takes a couple hours...

I have a hunter as well, but I feel I leveled faster as a lock than a hunter. I can also take more mobs on as a lock (even at 42 where my hunter is) than the hunter... I know there are hunters who will argue that point, but I have hand hour long battles with more than 50 mobs (some 5 or 6 at a time) and came out with a dead demon and my life/mana at 70%. While I have not done it myself, I have never seen a hunter at 60 solo Scholomance like I saw a 60 warlock do...

Makes sense why everyone QQs that warlocks are overpowered. Except the warlocks. *hee hee hee*

But for RP purposes... I'm not going to concern myself with leveling fast, necessarily. I want to enjoy the story and the scenery again.

ooh, what server are you on? i mainly play on butcherblock but have a toon on najena as well. played on venekor too for a while, but pvp was not really my thing.

on BB i have a 70 half-elf swash, 66 DE nec, 59 halfling fury, 37 gnome illusionist, 29 arisai inquisitor, & 28 fae paladin. i have a 50 human SK on naj. all ladies:~)

Currently all my toons are on Kithicor, but I still have a slot or two left so I'm toying with the idea of trying one of the other servers... just need to get details on the specifics.

I currently have a 44 half-elf fury, 25 halfling conjuror, 21 fae warden, 19 arasai coercer and a 12 arasai warlock (who is currently in Exile). Mine are all ladies also.. fun, fun!
