Land, Food & Culture: Creating Sustainability Where You Live
March 13 – 14, 2007
University of Kentucky
Lexington, Kentucky
Local Culture – Local Foods – Sustainable Systems
No matter where you live, or what your occupation or background is, if you have an interest in food and culture you’ll want to attend this exciting event coming in March. You and others you know are invited to join the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture as it teams with its many partners to sponsor a unique symposium to examine future visions for Kentucky agriculture, rural communities, local markets and development of sustainable food systems. The goal is to consider all aspects of Kentucky’s rural agricultural communities, including the economic, the environmental and the social. We are bringing together journalists, poets, chefs, artists, environmentalists, agricultural economists and other educators from across the region and nation to further progress toward a new future for our state’s rural communities.
