Roleplayers for Disaster Exercise – Nov. 14, 15

Over 350 volunteers are needed for a mock pandemic flu disaster, organized by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, to train and evaluate emergency responders. This is a two day exercise taking place at the old Muscatatuck State Hospital in South Central Indiana. Volunteers will be bussed from Bloomington on Fri., Nov. 14 at about 5-6 p.m. and return on Saturday evening. Volunteers will be given an orientation to the incident site, the type of injury or symptoms you should simulate, and what actions are expected of you. We got to do that in high school occasionally. The middle school gifted program in our county met at our high school, so they'd get the high school gifted program folks out of class and we'd get to pretend to be unwell for the kids in the pre-med-lite class. It was so cute watching them frantically flip through the book. "Can you tell me what letter it starts with?"
