Job strain increases obesity risk. Really? Or does obesity increase job strain (via discrimination and culturally-sanctioned abuse)?
Low-carb diet speeds initial weight loss. Duh! It's kind of a shame Dr. Atkins isn't around to see the scientific community taking his ideas seriously enough to test them.
Storm in U.S. over chocolate Jesus. No sweet salvation for anyone this Easter!
Blood sprays out of sewer. Apocalypse now. o.O

Date: 2007-03-31 02:25 am (UTC)1. Blood spraying out of the sewer
2. City worker there to clean sewer
3. City worker gets blood IN HIS MOUTH and is worried that he might get sick from it and is causing a stink (pun not intended) about not knowing there is blood in the sewer so that he can take precautions so that it does not get into his mouth.
Am I the only one that sees a fundamental problem with this city worker? All the other waste products in the sewer he is perfectly ok with having splash into his mouth apparently, but not animal blood.. nope, no way. Hmmmm, exactly what "special precautions" or equipment could a city worker possibly wear to prevent blood from splashing into his mouth... let's ponder shall we?
*2 milliseconds later*
OH! I know, his proper cleaning gear that he is supposed to be wearing anyway but apparently isn't? Oh damn, that was a hard one!
*hangs head in shame*
Sometimes I rally don't believe I am a member of such a stupid species.
