I crack myself up

Yesterday in microbiology, as we went over the most basic and curly of bacteria, I was suddenly struck with a World of Warcraft vision. I want to roll a paladin and name her Treponema.
Y'know. So she could, like, sign her business cards: Treponema, Paladin*
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!
*Treponema pallidum is very popular gram-negative spirochete bacterium.

Date: 2007-08-24 07:28 pm (UTC)I am NOT a science person. I find things about Science interesting like watching the Science Channel and such but im not good at the "book-learning" part of science. I am an Artzy-Fartzy Theatre Geek with History and Anthropological leanings. The only thing I remember from High School Biology (crica 1983) is Endoplasmic Reticulum (sp?) and thats cuz my teacher stood up on his lab desk and yelled it out while dancing a jig. Heck, I'm not so sure what the definition of it is, I think its the intestines of a cell or something like that. BUT, I could so see you teaching students, being your funny self and getting even the science-haters to enjoy class.

Date: 2007-08-25 03:31 am (UTC)Once at the Mutter Museum I saw a special exhibit on syphilis, including a number of syphilitic skulls. The spirochetes had actually eaten through the bone. Amazing. The brain and skulls looked *carbonated*.
