I used to go see Chris de Burgh every year when I lived in Toronto. Many of his band members were from there, so he came through a LOT. "Lady in Red" kind of killed him for me, but I still love the "Perfect Day" and "Spanish Train" albums.
I kind of ignore Lady in Red. His other stuff is so amazing... he has inspired me in so much of my writing, songs and otherwise...he is just brilliant. I am so jealous that you've gotten to see him live!
I have posted this on my LJ also. In fact I may have done it twice! This and "Discovery" are always going to be my favorites, and I love this version so much. So. Much. First time I saw this it made me cry. He is, has been, and always will be my muse (sorry Bernie!)
PS Remember when we didn't want to listen to Chris because Faith never shut up about him? Who knew she could be so right!!
