OK, one more Warcraft thingie.

I love Forsaken guys. I love their skeleton horses. But I never liked the way the Forsaken women look... until I tried on the goggles. Yes, goggles make all the difference.

Necronaria the Rogue and her epic bonypony Maere. She's actually cute!

Sally thinks that now that I have a decent video card I should try MMORPGs. She thinks I might like WoW. I fear what my addictive personalty would do with WoW...

Honestly, I think you'd like WoW too. I like it because it's visually appealing to me. Some people condemn it for being to "comic book-ish" but that's one of the reasons I like it. The artwork is very fantastic and magical and it doesn't try to be gritty or realistic.

There are no blood-n-guts in WoW. Yes, you kill stuff, but there's no graphic violence. Granted, the slime critters are a little goopy. ;)

It has extensive lore and detailed storylines if you take the time to read and enjoy them (I do). As long as you play on a normal, non-PvP realm, you can choose to play with others or solo all of your quests and adventures - you won't see all of the dungeons, but you *can* solo all the way to level 70 if you want to. (I did it. :)

There are a variety of things to do in the game besides questing and killing stuff. You can work on your professions (crafting, gathering, fishing, cooking) or explore. Personally, I love the hunter class because I enjoy exploring and taming new animals to learn new skills. That was my personal motivation in the game.

You can roleplay, if you find the right place and the right server. I attended a story night in a tavern on the Moon Guard realm, where people could get up and tell their stories or recite poems, all in character. I really loved coming up with background stories and character motivation for my alts. It's fun!

So that's what I think. But of course, I'm biased. I quit (retail) WoW, but I couldn't quit *playing* WoW because I do enjoy it so much.

Try the free trial versions of a couple different MMOs - that's what I did before I latched onto WoW - and see what game elements you like and what you don't. Then you can make an informed decision.

I love goggles. I've been trying to make some steampunk style goggles since I saw some at a costumers booth last ConGlom and thought "I could do that better. And cheaper." (with mixed success).

I did find some awesome old welder's and safety goggles at a recent estate sale. I should probably post picks.
