While Kmart drops its ammunition department, Wal-Mart is willing to pick up the slack by not only providing the buckshot, but the booze to sling back beforehand, all in one convenient location!

BENTONVILLE, ARK (AP) - Some Wal-Mart customers soon will be able to sample a new discount item -- Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with E&J Gallo Winery of Modesto, Calif., to produce the spirits at an affordable price; in the $6-8 range. While wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to throw a bottle of Wal-Mart brand wine into their shopping carts, there is a market for cheap wine, said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.

She also said: "The right name is important."

I think it's still available. My cheap plonk of choice was always Boones Farm, Strawberry Hill, yum yummy. I used to mix it in a blender with raspberry sherbert and make "Raspberry Berets."

I don't know fine wines, but I know what I like.

My Dad worked for Gallo when I was a kid. I used to drink Strawberry Hill when I was in kindergarten.... it still tastes good though... LOL
