Media Update
Oct. 9th, 2007 09:46 amSpotted over the weekend...
1) Dr. Who season 3 finale. What the deuce...? All seemed a bit too Tinker-Bell for me. If you believe in the Doctor, clap your hands! C'mon, kids! Wheeee!
I think what disappointed me the most was the waste of Captain Jack. In bondage, fully clothed? WTF? Apparently tortured, but we never got to see anything good. What a freakin waste! Hot, immortal, idealistic... he could make some little sadist infinitely happy. *sigh*
2) If you like slightly twisted British comedy, lay your hands on Keeping Mum right now. I loathe Rowan Atkinson in his Mr. Bean persona, but he was excellent in this movie. So was Maggie Smith. And Patrick Swayze. And Kristin Scott Thomas. Hell, they were all great. FUN plot. :D
3) The Condemned with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and a cast of lesser known folks was also pretty good, for what it was. Straight up violence, but the writers did a good job keeping the plot moving with the actors and the blood flowing with the action guys/gals. Probably best it went direct to DVD, though.
In other news...
Didn't make it to Bloomington yesterday. Got to Greenville, Indiana and had to stop driving before we were both violently ill. And the virus replicates on...
Rescheduled for Friday.
