I almost fainted last night when I found out there is going to be a faction-switching service implemented in World of Warcraft:

We wanted to give everyone a very early heads-up that, in response to player requests, we’re developing a new service for World of Warcraft that will allow players to change their faction from Alliance to Horde or Horde to Alliance.

Mounts at level 20!
Fast mounts at level 40!
Flying mounts at level 60!
Portals in major cities to the Dark Portal!
Flight path from the Dark Portal to Shattrath!
Zeppelin from Org to Thunder Bluff!
Individual 30-sec cooldowns on hunter traps!

And much, much more!

sighs- Not impressed with the lowering of the level when you can get your mount. They might as well start giving them to people when they create a character. I -like- the challenge of getting to a point where you can get your mount. I figure if I can't get a character to that point, then I probably should either research the character more and figure out what I'm doing wrong or give up on the character. :P

Mana Regeneration: All items that provide "X mana per five seconds" have had the amount of mana they regenerate increased by approximately 25%.

I like that.

Quest creatures and objects will now show on the player's world map.

... Wha? As if it's not easy enough to alt-tab out and look up a quest to see where to get it done? -headdesks- They're dumbing it down for people. :/

I really don't have an opinion on the whole faction-switching service. I don't expect that I'm going to use it, so.. -shrugs-
